Young People Transformed This Community Garden ❤️🌱

We recently had the opportunity to support an incredible community project led by Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and The King’s Trust ❤️

The programme helps young people aged 16–25 who are not currently in education, employment or training to develop valuable life skills, build confidence, and prepare for their future.

As part of the programme, the team were tasked with completing a community project to support a local organisation. They chose to transform the community garden at George Williams House, run by the Salvation Army 🌱

The young adults came up with some brilliant ideas, including tidying the garden, painting fences, creating positive quote boards, adding planters and flowers, and making the space more welcoming for residents ❤️

When Chloe reached out to ask for support, we were more than happy to help. We took her shopping and spent £851.60 on supplies to help bring the project to life 🛒👏

The team did an amazing job with the renovation, and it was fantastic to see their hard work, creativity and teamwork turn an unused space into something the community can enjoy for years to come 🌼
