Meet Our Eighth Property Winner

On Friday 30th August 2024, we announced Perry Comley as our eighth property winner!  

After purchasing 9 tickets, and spending no more than £50, one of Perry’s lucky numbers came out of our ball machine and he was now the winner of the £230,000 lodge in Lancashire, which had a £200,000 cash alternative. 

As you can imagine, Perry was over the moon when he received the news! We rang him live from our studio after pulling his winning ticket combination from our ball machine. At first, however - Perry didn't answer the phone!

"I was on the phone speaking about work, I thought who's this that keeps ringing me?" Perry shared. Imagine if he hadn't picked up! A call from Elite Competitions is not a call that you want to miss. However, we did get through to him and we shared his win live on camera. Unsure if we were telling the truth or not, he couldn't wait to visit his new property and see it in person. The thought of owning a luxurious lodge in one of the most beautiful areas of Lancashire was a dream come true.

As with all of our competitions, the choice was completely his to make between the prize and the cash alternative, and we invited him and his family up from his home in Portsmouth to make the decision.  

After some careful consideration and lots of back-and-forth discussions, Perry made a surprising but exciting decision: he opted for the whopping £200,000 cash alternative instead of the lodge! It wasn't an easy choice, but it was the right one for him and his family, given their circumstances.

 

What’s Next for Perry and His Family?

Perry and his partner, now with an additional £200,000 in their pockets, are dreaming of the next big steps. Perry has always dreamt of investing in a holiday home abroad or flipping properties closer to home, both of which are achievable dreams with this amount of cash. This decision offers them the flexibility to choose a location that best suits their lifestyle and future plans.

Winning such a substantial prize is life-changing in so many ways, and for Perry, it's an opportunity to create the life he has always dreamed of for himself and his loved ones. The past week has been a rollercoaster of emotions—joy, excitement, and perhaps even a bit of disbelief—but it's safe to say Perry and his family are already on their way to making the most of this remarkable win.

After seeing our competitions "just pop up on Facebook" and seeing our founder Alex appear on Dragons' Den in 2016, Perry had been entering here and there for a couple of years. He'd won site credit but this was his biggest win to date. Changing lives such as Perry's and his family is what we do it for, and we're incredibly happy it went to a good place.
