One of the UK's leading online competitions companies has deepened its commitment to Blackpool through a major new partnership with Blackpool Council, bringing together community investment, tourism support and some eye-catching attractions for residents and visitors alike.

The partnership marks a significant milestone for Blackpool-founded Elite Competitions, reinforcing the company's commitment to giving back to the town that has supported its growth from the very beginning.

From sponsoring one of Blackpool's biggest annual events to unveiling the now-famous "Tramborghini", the collaboration aims to create memorable experiences while supporting initiatives that benefit the local community.

Online Competitions Business Launches Unique Blackpool Partnership

A standout feature of the partnership is the introduction of a specially branded tram that has already captured the imagination of locals and visitors.

Unveiled beneath Blackpool Tower, with the landmark illuminated in Elite Competitions' brand colours, the striking tram has quickly earned the nickname "The Tramborghini" thanks to its supercar-inspired design.

The bespoke tram will operate along Blackpool's famous promenade route between Fleetwood and Squires Gate for the next two years, becoming a unique addition to the resort's iconic transport network.

Supporting the Community Beyond the Promenade

The partnership extends far beyond the tram itself.

As part of the agreement, Elite Competitions is donating £6,000 to Blackpool's Beach Patrol service and sponsoring free entry to the popular Christmas By The Sea skating rink until January 2026.

These initiatives are designed to help residents and visitors enjoy some of Blackpool's most-loved attractions while supporting services that play an important role within the resort.

Blackpool Illuminations Sponsorship Marks New Chapter

The partnership also includes Elite Competitions becoming an official sponsor of the Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On 2025, one of the town's most anticipated annual events.

Taking place on Friday 29 August, the event will feature chart-topping artist Olly Murs and attract thousands of visitors to the resort.

As part of its presence at the event, Elite Competitions will showcase a Ferrari F8 Spider wrapped in the company's distinctive branding, giving visitors the chance to get up close to one of the world's most desirable supercars.

The entire Elite team will also be attending the event, meeting visitors and celebrating an occasion that holds special significance for the town.
