So overcome with emotion by the life-changing moment that he had to sprint from the Newcastle-under-Lyme Nissan garage where he works to the nearest tree where he promptly threw up from the shock of his win.

“I still can’t believe this is real,” Christian told us. “I woke up on Wednesday with nothing and went to bed that night with my life totally sorted out.

I still live with my parents, and it’s difficult to get on the property ladder these days — but now I’m firmly on it thanks to Elite Competitions. I turn 30 next month and I don’t think anyone is going to beat this as a birthday present.”

Christian viewed his new home — a beautifully refurbished semi-detached property with open-plan living areas, high ceilings, a spacious garden and all stamp duty paid — the very next day, joined by his father, grandfather, and members of the Elite Competitions team.
